Monochrome Light Bulb Sketch

This is a drawing of a light bulb that I created in my middle school art club using only a pencil and an eraser. The assignment encouraged me to focus on observing subtle shifts in light, shadow, and reflection—elements that are especially challenging when working with a smooth, transparent object. Through this piece, I learned how to build depth using value contrast and how small details can bring realism to a simple subject. It became one of my early exercises in careful observation, and it strengthened the foundational skills I continued to build as I grew more interested in art.
