Monochromatic Portrait Study

This picture was taken after I completed a school assignment at my portfolio academy. The task required creating a portrait using only one color and expressing depth solely through variations in light and shade. Working within such a limited palette challenged me to think more critically about value, contrast, and form. Through this project, I learned how subtle changes in tone can shape the features and mood of a portrait. It became an important exercise in strengthening my technical skills and understanding how light functions in visual art.
